This had been caused by blunt force trauma to the abdomen, consistent with stomping or kicking. Additionally, there were injuries to the penis and perhaps most shockingly, tears to the anal cavity. William Jennings had been sodomized with some blunt object before his death. Patricia’s assertion that he’d suffered these injuries by falling in the bath was ludicrous. The only way that was even remotely possible, said the medical examiner, was if he’d fallen from a height of at least twenty feet.
